Chazanovitz, Joseph

(1844-1919)

   Lithuanian Zionist. He practised medicine in Grodno, Bialystock and Yekaterinoslav. He was one of the first members of Hpvevei Zion. He helped to establish a central Jewish library in Jerusalem, which became the basis of the Jewish National Library.
